What is the reading program about?

We would like to thank you for making your way to this page of our site. On this page we would like to give the details of our reading program. We were trying to come up with a way to influence our younger generation in a positive way.What better way to influence our kids than to encourage them to read. What is Reading for Reptiles ? Reading for reptiles is a module based reptile reading program to encourage kids to read with a reward system to help motivate them. Reptiles have a way of captivating the attention of young minds and we can use this to our advantage to educate and encourage reading . The parents would have to enter into a written contract with the child at the beginning that states the following. The parent agrees as a reward for the completion and hard work to allow the child to choose a reptile from the 10 modules as a pet. The parent agrees to purchase a animal and complete setup for the chosen pet. The child agrees to read all 10 modules and work hard to obtain a 70 % or better on the required  quizes . Its a win win situation for the parents and children and a great way to get them reading., The parents win by getting the child to read more and become educated on the pet of choice. The child wins by the feeling of earning the privelage to own a awesome pet. We as reptile enthusiest win by educating about our wonderful  hobby . There is no fee for this program and you are not required to purchase anything from us. We want to encourage kids to read and we believe this program has the ability to do just that. Why do reptiles make great pets for kids?

Many reptiles make great choices for pets for kids. Reptiles have an advantage of  thriving in a very small space . Unlike dogs and cats reptiles can easily be left at home for a few days with no adverse reactions. If a reptile doesn't get some attention from his owner everyday it will do just fine, unlike a puppy that need daily interaction. Reptiles are usually silent except for a few lizards that like to scratch the glass or a croaking frog. A reptile is a great way for a child to prove to the parent they have the ability to be responsible and maybe work up to a dog or cat. Some people live where dogs are not allowed and there are no provisions available for a large animal. Many people suffer from allergies to hair or dander and make pet ownership impossible . Reptiles have no hair or dander which makes it a great choice for those with allergies. A reptile is a great alternative to no pet at all and require a very small space. Reptiles are a great choice for those with no availability to a yard. Children need to have the chance to prove they can be responsible by caring for a pet and a reptile is a great choice . In the past 20 years there have been a huge increase of captive breeding of very colorful and docile reptiles.  Parents can feel assured by buying captive bred animals they will not be depleeting animals from the wild. There are plenty of captive breeders that offer online sales and shipping for those in rural areas where reptile choices may be limited. So try to be open minded and give your child the opportunity to learn responsibility. By encouraging them to read we encourage education and knowledge of proper care. We hope you find this reading program a useful tool to encourage reading and education.
